SCREEN SCHOOL SUCCESS!




16 young people from across Fife joined Tutors Lee Richardson, Lisa MacLeod, Colin Johnston and Graeme Campbell for a five day extensive film and television training project in September. Two films were produced and premiered with Galaxy FM presenter Vanessa Motion awarding certificates to the group.

Creative Identities is an 18 month programme funded by the Scottish Government’s Cashback for Communities initiative. Using £ 1.2 million from the proceeds of crime it is managed in partnership with Scottish Screen and the Scottish Arts Council.




SUPER MEMBERSHIP

As from 30th November the special weekend hire rate will only be available for members who upgrade to the new super membership rate. This will be £ 180 per annum for companies and organisations and £ 60 for individuals. It still represents fantastic value for what is in effect 3 nights and almost 3 days for the price of a one day hire. Normal membership and hire rates remain unchanged.

In response to the numbers of recently unemployed film makers and film graduates contacting MiMAC for help in these difficult economic times, we are offering a special package which consists of £ 7.50 membership, £ 10 Canon XL1 and £ 10 Final Cut Pro. We are also in the process of developing an intern scheme, so do contact us, we may be able to help with contacts, training and employment experience.




RUSHES DIGITAL FILM FESTIVAL 2010

We are actively planning a re launch of our annual film festival in 2010. Please indicate your interest in attending and sub mitting work. We would like to hear your ideas on venue, programme, guests and an awards ceremony.
